Camera insurance important as research shows it's in top ten items stolen from cars

New research has shown that car thieves are happy to steal almost anything, which illustrates the importance of insuring all belongings.
The statistics, compiled by Admiral, revealed that the most commonly stolen item were CDs whilst cameras were seventh on the list - highlighting the importance of getting camera insurance.
A car flap was pinched from one owner's car and one unfortunate driver had a bag of homework stolen whilst another lost a 6ft Power Ranger costume.
Admiral managing director, Sue Longthorn, said: "Our data shows the items most commonly claimed for following a theft and therefore the things we commonly keep in our cars. It's staggering once you sit down and work out the value of it all. While you may not mourn the loss of your sandwiches or fluffy dice, how upset would you be if someone stole your iPod, phone or handbag?"
According to Admiral, a typical family of three could be carrying items worth more than £2,800.
